A shadow drops from the rafters. YUKI BLACKPAW, early 20s, lithe, face half-hidden by wet black hair, lands without sound. She moves between them like wind.

First man raises his pistol—her elbow snaps his wrist. She takes the gun, never fires it. Second man swings a knife; she catches the blade between her fingers, twists, drives it under his chin. Third man backs away, terrified.

YUKI signs one quick motion: “Leave.” He drops his weapon and runs. She watches him go, then kneels before a small wooden marker etched with paw prints, touching it once before vanishing into the storm.
